Swimming Lessons

We did swimming lessons this year with our good friends the Thuesons. Their family does lessons up in Sandy, so it was a bit of a drive each day but totally worth it. We all had so much fun driving together and the kiddos had a blast doing their swimming lessons together! Thanks Thuesons for the hook up! :) Brooklyn had a hard couple of days at first but then warmed up to her teacher and to swimming and really liked it! Ashlyn is a little fish like usual and had so much fun swimming!

My cute little fish! :)

Gymnastics!

Brooklyn choose to try gymnastics this summer, she had been wanting to do gymnastics for a while now. So I put Ashlyn and Brooklyn in a class to try it out. So for 6 weeks they did a class at the rec center up the street from us. Everyday Brooklyn would wake up and ask if it was gymnastics day! She just loved it and totally has a knack for it. They got to try the balance beams (high and low), the vault, the rings, and the uneven bars. Brooklyn can so a summer salt and taught herself after gymnastics was over to do a cartwheel and a handstand. I'm amazed at how naturally she caught on. Ashlyn did awesome too! She too can do a summer salt and a cart wheel and is working on her round off. I love how these girls just love trying new things! :)

Tennis Fun

This summer I thought it would be fun for the kiddos to try some fun things they haven't done before. So Ashlyn tried tennis...and loved it! She went twice a week for an hour for 6 weeks. Ashlyns little girlfriends grandma taught her and a group of girls around her age. Her teacher was so darling with the girls and Ashlyn just had a blast.

All the tennis girls!

Ready to go on her first day :)

Happy Forth of July!!!

This year we had Brandon's parents in town over the 4th! It was so much fun! We hadn't seen them in a while so it was so great to chat and the kiddos were so excited to play with Grandma and Grandpa! Brandon got to golf with his dad which had been quite some time since they had gone golfing and Lou Anne, the kiddos, and I went to see Brave. The girls just totally loved! :) We also got to go up to Park City for one evening while they were in town and ride the Alpine Slides. It was a blast, even having to wait for the lightening to pass by so we could ride the chair lift to go. I had forgotten how much fun it is in Park City. On the fourth of July we had a BBQ then did tons of fireworks. Parker was too cute he would say "Fiworwok!" each time they would go off or he would say, "Hot." Since fire is hot! :) Brooklyn did lots better this year and did sparklers and totally loved it dancing around with it. Ashlyn was still a little hesitant with her sparklers but started to like them when she realized her younger brother and sister were liking the sparklers. We had a great time over the fourth with Brandon's parents, I am so glad we got to spend some time with them this summer! :)

He was so proud of his tank "fiworwork" :)
Ashlyn actually enjoying sparklers this year!
